Colour Plates, Illustrated, Original Binding

A history of the tradition of lace making from Mrs Bury Palliser. In French. Illustrated throughout with vignettes and sixteen coloured plates (collated complete). Containing chapters on the making of lace in many different countries and cities, including Milan, Greece, Normandy, England and many more.

Condition

In a red cloth binding. Externally, sound, though with marks, rubbing, and some bumping. Spine is also a little sunned. Joints strained. Internally, binding strained in places. Pages are browned, due to the paper used, with a few instances of foxing. Institutional blindstamping to the title page.
