    Milner, a journalist and later a prominent British statesman, examines the administrative reforms and economic improvements initiated under British control of Egypt, presenting them in a favourable light.

    With a publisher's catalogue, dated October 1892, to the rear.

    A detailed account of British involvement in Egypt following its military occupation in 1882.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with light rubbing to joints. Hinges strained, but firmly held. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
