Two works from the All-England Series in the original publisher's blue cloth bindings.
Includes Rounders, Quoits, Bowls, Skittles and Curling (1892) by J. M. Walker. This is the first edition of this work. Illustrated throughout the text with diagrams. A scarce edition with only two copies held in libraries. Includes prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown.
With this work is Hockey (1906) by Frank S. Creswell. This is a revised edition, with a chapter 'for ladies'. Illustrated with eight monochrome plates and two in text illustrations. Collated, complete.
Both works include advertisements to the front and rear.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There is some wear to the cloth in these areas. There is some slight loss to the front joint of 'Rounders' and to the head of the spine. Prior owner's book plate to the front pastedown of 'Rounders'. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
