Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

Three cookery books by Harriet Anne de Salis.

'Entrees a la Mode', published in 1892, the eighth edition of this work. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown. 

'Cakes and Confections a la Mode', published in 1893, the third edition of this work.

'Sweets and Supper Dishes a la Mode', published in 1901, the seventh edition of this work.

Written by Harriet Anne de Salis.

Condition

In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding, with paper to the boards. Externally, boards are a little discoloured with some marks. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Rear hinge of 'Cakes and Confection' is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown of 'Entrees'. Bookseller's label to the rear pastedown of 'Sweets and Supper'. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with just a couple of light marks.
