First Edition, Leather Binding, Scarce

First edition. Frederick William Waldebrand Pattenden (1857 - 1889) following his studies, he worked as a barrister and devoted himself to literary pursuits. He was also a reviewer for The Literary World, and contributed his own work to various newspapers and other publications.

Condition

In a paper vellum binding. Externally, generally smart but with slight rubbing and some marks to boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Generally bright and clean but with occasional handling marks and slight foxing to endpapers only. With very slight evidence of past worming to rear, a slight closed tear to front and an ink amendment to first page of memoir.
