Volume XVII covering January to June 1891. Illustrated throughout. The Theatre was well known in late nineteenth century London. Other magazines for which Bernard Capes edited included Blackwood's, Butterfly, Cassell's, Cornhill Magazine, Hutton's Magazine, Illustrated London News, Lippincott's, Macmillan's Magazine, Literature, New Witness, Pall Mall Magazine, Pearson's Magazine, The Idler, The New Weekly, and The Queen.

Condition

In a contemporary cloth binding with gilt motif to the front board. Externally, lightly rubbed with fading and shelfwear to the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound, although with the last few leaves working loose. Generally clean, although with the odd spot and handling mark. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown.
