Fine Binding, Leather Binding, Signed Binding

With a portrait frontispiece. With a memoir of the author by Edward Bell to the preface. In a Mudie binding, with binder's stamp to the verso of front endpaper. Samuel Rogers was a celebrated English poet. Rogers achieved much of his fame during his lifetime although today he is somewhat eclipsed by the popularity of his contemporaries Wordsworth, Coleridge and Byron.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the head and tail of joints and to the extremities. Binder's stamp to the verso of front endpaper. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean throughout.
