A charming edition of 'The Blue Poetry Book', edited by Andrew Lang. Andrew Lang was a mid-19th-century Scottish poet, novelist, and collector of folklore. He is known for his Rainbow Fairy Books, which are children's folktales. This work consists of poetry for young people and children in particular, and contain works from Wordsworth, Cowper, Shakespeare, Keats, and more. In contains beautiful illustrations throughout by H.J. Ford and Lancelot Speed.

Condition

Handsomely bound in half navy morocco with marbled covered boards. Externally, very smart with just minor rubbing and shelf wear, particularly to the top right corners. Gilded spine remains intact. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean except for the odd spot or small stain to the first and last few pages.
