This volume celebrates sailor songs from history that had died out with the end of the French war and its consequent peace.

The songs are organised into themes of sea fights, love and disaster. Including the songs The Battle of Trafalgar, The Lady's Love for a Sailor and many others. 

With two hundred wood cuts throughout the text.

Condition

In half vellum binding with paper covered boards. Externally, sound with some marks to the boards and loss to the head of the spine. Some fading to the spine also. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
