'Maiwa's Revenge' is a short novel about Allan Quatermain, a hunter who is on an expedition to rescue a capture hunter, and to avenge the death of the baby of the African princess Maiwa.

Written by H. Rider Haggard, an adventure novelist known for pioneering the lost world genre. He wrote on the lighter end of Victorian literature, also being involved in agricultural reform throughout the British Empire.

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A couple of minor marks to the boards. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is discoloured. A couple of small cracks to the rear joint. Prior owner's ink inscription and bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots.
