The scarce four volume first edition of this work, consisting of 'a series of revelations from Angelic sources, containing a new system of spiritual science and philosophy, illustrated by examples'.
A highly unusual, esoteric work, in which revelations from 'Angelic Ministrants' are provided.
These volumes include discussion of the astral plane, the planets, the inner light, inner personality, the experiences of William Shakespeare as a disembodied spirit, and the general experiences of the disembodied.
Volume I published in 1891, volume II in 1892, volume III in 1903, and volume IV in 1910. A fifth index volume was also published, but is not present here.
With an errata leaf to volume IV.
A privately published work by the Psycho-Philosophical society, this set was intrusted to 'Nurse Dora', and then to Miss Louisa V. Frazer of Cirencester, with society bookplates, asserting that if the owners die, the works must be returned to the society.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth bindings. Bumping to back strip heads and tails. Fading to back strips of volumes III and IV. Significant rubbing to volume I joints, with joints starting, and tender. Volume III front hinge strained, and a touch tender. Society bookplates to front pastedowns and front free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned due to paper type, but generally clean. Instances of pencil notations throughout.
