Focusing solely on British topography, each volume looking at a different county.

Containing;

Volume I, published in 1891, looking at Bedfordshire, Berkshire, and Buckinghamshire. Four pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Volume II, published in 1892, looking at Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Cornwall, and Cumberland.

Volume VIII, published in 1896, looking at Norfolk, Northamptonshire, and Northumberland.

Volume IX, published in 1897, looking at Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Rutlandshire. Two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Volume X, published in 1898, looking at Shropshire and Somersetshire. Two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Volume XII, published in 1900, looking at Surrey and Sussex. Two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with some marks to the boards and spines, a little heavier to Volume XII. Spines are discoloured. Light bumping to the spines and extremities, heavier to Volumes XIII and XIV. Institutional label to the tail of the spines. Hinges of Volume I are starting but firm. Rear hinge of Volumes II and VIII are starting but firm. Front hinge of Volumes IX, X, and XIII are starting but firm. Bookplate to the front paste downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Last leaf of adverts in Volume I is torn vertically, lacking about one-third of the page.
