    The very scarce first edition of this fascinating insight into the county council chamber of Wigan, Greater Manchester.

    Illustrated with six plates of sketches of plans of the council chamber. Collated, complete.

    With accounts of arms places upon the ceiling and walls of Wigan, sketches of the chamber interior, and reproductions of speeches delivered at banquets within the council chamber.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding, with gilt detailing. Bumping to back strip head and tail. Front joint starting, with board holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Head of frontispiece removed. Pages clean and bright.
