'Don Quixote' is a Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes. Originally published in two parts across 1605 and 1615, is it often held as being the first modern novel, and one of the most widely translated works in the world.
It follows Alonso Quixano who decides to become a caballero andante, having read so many works of romance and been inspired to bring chivalry back. He takes the name 'Don Quixote de la Mancha' and adopts a farmer, Sancho Panza, to be his squire.
With a literary legacy including references in Dumas' 'The Three Musketeers' and Mark Twain's 'Adventures of Huckleberry Finn', the influence of this work is vast.

Condition
In a full tree calf binding. Externally rather worn; the spine is rather rubbed, with some loss to the head and tail. The spine label is lacking. Otherwise, just a touch of rubbing to the front board. Prize bookplate to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
