A scarce work. Signed by the author to the verso to the front endpaper, an author's presentation copy to Charles R. Wainwright. The first edition of the work. A charming novel set in Somerset. Written by Walter Raymond. Raymond was an English novelist who was based in Somerset. He often wrote under the pseudonym Tom Cobbleigh. His novels include 'Gentleman Upcott's Daughter', 'Love and Quiet Life', 'Fortune's Darling', and 'Verity Thurston'. Undated, dated from Copac from a copy held at Newcastle University.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Minor marks to the boards. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Signed by the author to the verso to the front endpaper. Internally, generally fimly bound. Pages are bright with some scattered spots.
