What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon

The first edition of this work. An uncommon work. A fascinating guide to the cooking of fruit, looking at various recipes for fruit puddings, and at how to preserve fruits. The author set out to write this work when she realised that there was no simple and comprehensive work on the subject of the preparation of fruits. She intended to book to be of use to the housekeeper who finds themselves with an abundance of fruit. Written by Hester Martha Poole, who is well known for this work, which was her last work. She wrote a series of articles for the 'Home Maker', and 'Good Housekeeping'. With eighteen pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot.
