In a handsome full calf binding, with the crest of 'Royal College, Mauritius'. Thirteenth edition revised and enlarged. Designed for use of colleges and schools. With a prize bookplate to the front pastedown that reads 'Royal College Mauritius. English-Scholarship Class Prize for Trigonometry and Presentation. Awarded to Perdrau, J. Arthur. 14th. September 1891. W. W. Hamley, M.A. Acting Rector'. Translated and edited from the French work 'Ganot Elements De Physique' by E. Atkinson. Adolphe Ganot was writer who published numerous scientific textbooks. This English edition was translated and edited by E. Atkinson the former Professor of Experimental Science. Illustrated with 9 coloured plates and maps, and numerous other woodcuts. Collated complete. With the binders stamp of 'Relfe Brothers London' to the reverse of the front endpaper to the head.

Condition

In a full calf binding with gilt detailing to the spine, and college crest to the front board. Externally very smart. Very light patches of rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, and also the the raised bands and extremities. The odd patch of rubbing to the front and rear boards. Prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots throughout.
