A collection of short stories written by Rudyard Kipling. 'Wee Willie Winkie and Other Stories', the eighth edition of this work. Undated, dated 1892 from a copy held at the National Trust. 'The Phantom Rickshaw and Other Tales', the fourth edition of this work. Undated, dated 1890 from a copy held at Birmingham University. 'Under the Deodars', the fourth edition of this work. Undated, dated 1891 from a copy held at Oxford University. 'The City of Dreadful Night and Other Places', the first edition of this work. Undated, dated 1891 from a copy held at the British Library. All volumes with the front wrap bound in. Kipling is best known for his novel 'The Jungle Book', however he was a prolific writer of poems, novels, and short stories. Being born in India inspired much of his work, and he went on to become one of the most popular writers of his time.
Condition
Rebound in a half crushed morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, smart. A little fading to the spine. A couple of light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd scattered spot. A little discolouration to the title pages.
