A first edition, later impression of this work, missing the tile page.

The first issue is distinguished by the imprint reading "Quay Street", with no street number, and 37 titles listed in the Bristol Library advert. This volume has 11 Quay Street to the advertisements and thirty six titles to the advertisements so must be a later printing, with 1889 dated to the preface. 

Three Men in a Boat is a humorous account of a two-week boating holiday on the Thames from Kingston to Oxford and back. 

With in-text illustrations by A. Frederics. 

With publisher adverts to the endpapers and rear.

Condition

Re-backed with the original cloth preserved. Externally, smart with some fading and marks to the boards and spine. Missing the title page. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright pages with some scattered spots to throughout.
