Leather Binding, Limited Edition
A limited edition work, limited to two=hundred copies. 'La Picara Justina', translated here as 'The Spanish Jilt', is a Spanish picaresque novel. This copy isn't an extract of the diverting and entertaining passages from the original publication. It is unknown who the original author is, though it is debated to be the Spanish doctor and write Francisco Lopez de Ubeda. Translated here by John Stevens. Stevens was a Hispanist and translator, and is best known for his 1700 translated of 'Don Quixote'.
Condition
In a full vellum binding. Externally, generally smart. Some marking and discolouration to the boards, as is usual with vellum binding. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a couple of spots.
