This volume features John Ruskin's work on the principles on architecture. The work details Ruskin's seven 'lamps' which represent the seven elements he believes to be conducive with good architecture, with those being; sacrifice, truth, power, beauty, life, memory and obedience.

Condition

Bound in full calf. Externally sound with rubbing to the extremities, joints and spine, marks to the boards, fading to the spine and library numbers to the spine. Past owner's stamp to the front blank. Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages with minimal age toning.
