First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

The first edition of this work. A very scarce work. Only held in five places institutionally. This work discusses the ceremony of Installation within the Freemasons, a ceremony in which a new Worshipful Master takes up his role, and appoints his Officers for the year. Illustrated with a frontispiece. Written by Henry Sadler, who was Grand Tyler and Sub-Librarian of the Grand Lodge of England. Prior owner's stamp to the recto to the front endpaper, 'Charles E. F. Parker, 2 Jun 1909'. With eight pages of publisher's adverts to the rear. Masonic library label to the tail of the spine.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally smart. A few light marks to the boards. A little fading to the front board. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Masonic library label to the tail of the spine. Prior owner's stamp to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with only a couple of spots to the first and last few pages.
