Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

This work was written by Kate Greenaway, a renowned Victorian artist and writer best known for her children's book illustrations. Collated, complete with twenty four coloured full-page plates, engraved and printed in colour by Edmund Evans, a prominent English wood-engraver and colour printer during the Victorian era. This copy is undated, dated using Copac.

Condition

In the original binding, with blue cloth spine with pictorial card boards. Externally generally smart with bumping and rubbing to extremities. Slight rubbing to spine and head and tail of spine. Hinges slightly strained but reasonably firm. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned but bright and clean, with the odd spot only to first and last few pages.
