A fascinating series of historical reports of the Royal Mineral Water Hospital from 1711-1888. With accounts of the developments and issues raised from annual meetings, notably the numbers of patients.
The hospital was founded as a general hospital for the poor in the city centre, providing care for the impoverished sick who were attracted to Bath because of the supposed healing properties of the mineral water from the spa.
First written by Randle Wilbraham Falconer, a British medical writer and one of the leading physicians of Bath for many years. Continued to the present time by Anthony Beaufort Brabazon.
