Handsomely bound in full calf prize binding for the University of Glasgow, with the university's gilt crest to the front board. Bound by MacLehose, with their binder's stamp to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Including a prize bookplate to the front pastedown, dated 1892. 

A fascinating association copy, as the prize was presented by University of Glasgow's mathematics professor and expert, William Jack. Containing his signature to the prize bookplate. 

A scarce work to find, especially with such an interesting association.

Condition

Handsomely bound in full calf prize binding for the University of Glasgow, with the university's gilt crest to the front board. Bound by MacLehose, with their binder's stamp to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Externally, very smart, with just some light shelf wear and rubbing to the spine. Prize bookplate signed by William Jack to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
