Description
A history of Teignbridge's cricket club, published in the late nineteenth century. Founded in 1823 by George Templer, it was Devon's first cricket club and thrived during the 1800s. Its named was changed and grounds moved in the early 1900s. Fanny Burney had recorded seeing a match played in Teignmouth in 1773, pre-dating the club by some time.
Teignbridge is a district located in Devon, with towns including Buckfastleigh, Dawlish and Teignmouth.
Written by George Wareing Ormerod, a geologist by trade who had dwelt in Teignmouth for many decades and wrote various historical writings on the area.

Condition
In the original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; spine is a little worn and discoloured, and there is bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities.
