An account of a season of sport in Sutherland, with chapters on gorse, salmon-fishing, shrimping, poachers, pearl-fishers, trout-fishing, hares, seal-stalking, sport not slaughter, and many more. Written by John E Edwards-Moss, a British sportsman and writer. Previously held in the library of Charles Thomas-Stanford, a British Conservative Party politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1914 to 1922.
Condition
In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper dated 1888. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
