An English writer, essayist, and poet, Charles Lamb was part of an elite literary group that included Coleridge and Wordsworth. Biographer E V Lucas described Lamb as 'the most lovable figure in English literature'. Included a introduction by Alfred Ainger, a critic and biographer. Ainger was a great contributor to the Dictionary of National Biography. His work concerning Charles Lamb is considered his best work. A five volume set.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with cloth boards. Externally, smart with light bumping and light rubbing to all. Small tear to rear of Mrs Leicester's School. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
