First reprints of the first editions. The Letters of Charles Lamb is produced in a two volume anthology, with the first volume featuring a frontispiece of Charles Lamb. Mrs Leicester's School also features further writings of Lamb's in both prose and verse. Edited with introductory notes by English biographer and critic Alfred Ainger. John Bumps booksellers stamp to endpaper of volume one. Complete in three volumes.

Condition

In red calf bindings with gilt design to the spines. Externally, smart with minor rubbing to the spines and extremities. Internally, all are firmly bound, with bright and clean pages. Light offsetting from frontispiece.
