The first edition of this work. The editor's copy, with his bookplate to the front pastedown. Manuscript notes by the editor to pages v, 7, 24, 29, 30, 35, 36, 37, 39, 57, 58, 59, 60, and 66. Leaf with manuscript notes bound in before pages iii, 7, and 46. A reference work, being the register of Perlethorpe in Nottingham, a detail historical survey. Edited by George William Marshall, an English officer of arms, and a High Sheriff of Herefordshire. Note bound before the rear endpaper, from a Lady Manvers.

Condition

In a quarter vellum binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light discolouration and marks to the vellum, as is usual. A small amount of fading to the head of the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Note bound before the rear endpaper, from a Lady Manvers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Leaf with manuscript notes bound in before pages iii, 7, and 46. Manuscript notes by the editor to pages v, 7, 24, 29, 30, 35, 36, 37, 39, 57, 58, 59, 60, and 66.
