What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Limited Edition

A lovely assortment of the recollections of Samuel Rogers.

Rogers (1763-1855) was a Romantic contemporary of the likes of Byron, Wordsworth and Coleridge, enjoying enormous success in his lifetime and even rejecting the chance to be Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom on account of his advanced age.

This work was limited to eight copies on handmade paper, and signed and inscribed thus by the publisher.

Complete with two frontispiece engravings of the subject.

Condition

In a half crushed morocco binding. Externally generally smart, with slight loss to the leather of the raised bands from rubbing as well as the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound; hinge is a touch strained. Publisher's inscription to the verso of the half-title page. Pages are bright and clean.
