The set is richly illustrated throughout with in-text wood engravings, as well as colour plates reproduced from fine steel engravings.
With a frontispiece and sixty-seven coloured plates to volume I, frontispiece and sixty-nine coloured plates to volume II, and a frontispiece and fifty coloured plates to volume III.
Collated, complete.
Condition
Uniformly bound in half morocco, with cloth boards. Externally, very smart. With light rubbing to the extremities and a few marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with scattered spots to the first and last few leaves.
