A very scarce work. The first edition of this work. From the Fareham Lodge of Harmony Library. This work is an interesting analysis of the Ancient Grand Lodge, and the origins and history of the Lodge. The work is an interesting document of the schism between the Ancient and Modern Freemasons. Illustrated with a frontispiece, folding plate, and three plates. Written by Henry Sadler, who was Grand Tyler and Sub-Librarian of the Grand Lodge of England. Lodge of Harmony library presentation label to the front pastedown, presented by Brother John Mason. Lodge of Harmony library label to the tail of the spine.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards. Lodge of Harmony library label to the tail of the spine. Front hinge is starting but firm. Lodge of Harmony library presentation label to the front pastedown. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Plate facing page one is working loose.
