Condition

In a half vellum binding with cloth to the boards, a signed binding by Bumpus. Externally, smart. A few light spots to the boards. A little discolouration to the spines. Hinges of Volume II are starting but firm. Front hinge of Volume III is starting but firm. Front hinge of Volume VI is starting but firm. Spots to the fore edges. Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown of Volume I, to the verso to the front free endpaper of Volume II, to the front pastedown of Volume IV, and to the front pastedown of 'Virgil'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot to the first and last few pages.
