Typeset in a charming gothic font with broad, clear margins, this edition is replete with a multitude of plates depicting people, places, animals, maps, and scientific diagrams, including a beautiful transverse folding plate of the northern coast of Europe.
Condition
In very smart external condition, with rubbing to edges of boards. Slight rubbing to left-hand side of front board. Spine in excellent condition. Internally excellent. Hinges slightly tender but very firmly bound in general. Pages bright and clean notwithstanding marginal browning. Plates (including folding map) all very sound.
