This text was originally written in Turkish by Sheykh-Zada. Translated into English by the noted Scottish orientalist, Elias John Wilkinson Gibb. Gibb was internationally renowned as a sympathetic and talented orientalist who acquired an extensive knowledge of Arabic and Persian languages, and became especially interested in Turkish language and literature. In a yellow cloth binding. Externally, sound with slight rubbing. Slight bumping to head and tail of spine resulting in closed tears to the cloth. Spine is faded. Hinges tender. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown.
