A complete six volume set of the History of the War in the Peninsula and in the South of France from the Year 1807 to the Year 1814 by Major General Sir W. F. P. Napier. 

The Peninsular War was the military conflict fought in the Iberian Peninsular by Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom against the invading and occupying forces of the First French Empire during the Napoleonic Wars. 

With fifty five maps and plans across the six volumes. 
Collated, complete.

Condition

Uniformly bound in quarter calf with cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart with a few marks to the boards and a little fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with some scattered spots to the first few pages of volume one.
