Uncommon

'The Secrets of Angling' was written by John Dennys and first published in 1613. Pastoral in nature, it follows in the tradition of works such as Virgil's Georgics.

Contains a number of early descriptions of various angling techniques and tools.

Privately printed.

This work contains Books II and III, lacking only book I.

Condition

In the publisher's original full paper vellum binding. Externally very smart, vellum is slightly discoloured at edges, with some chipping to the head of the spine. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean, with a number of pages unopened, including the title page.
