1885 Prince Otto by Robert Louis Stevenson from Longman's Magazine
What Our Customers Say...
Fine Binding, First Edition
This a collection of the first printed serial appearances of Prince Otto extracted from Longman's Magazine and bound as one complete work. Quality paper has been laid down covering superfluous text to make for a more continuous narrative. Includes the original Longman's Magazine titles laid down on the blank pages or the top margins of the first page from each magazine. Prince Otto is "an artificial comedy set in an imaginary German principality and written in a mannered style reminiscent of Meredith. The book has never been popular but in Colvin's opinion (DNB) is very characteristic of Stevenson's mind" -DNB.
In a recent half morocco leather binding. Externally, near fine, with just fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound, with a little browning and occasionally a few marks.
