The introduction prepares the reader for the 'novel and interesting' journey that will be relayed.

Following in the vein of the 1882 work 'Three in Norway', an amusing travelogue that was said to inspire Jerome K. Jerome's 'Three Men in a Boat', referred to in the preface as 'a most charming book'.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally excellent, with shelf wear to back strip head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
