A very scarce copy of this report on the coffee culture. In French. The formation of culture around coffee and coffeehouses dates back to 14th century Turkey. Coffeehouses in Western Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean were traditionally social hubs, as well as artistic and intellectual centers. Illustrated with photographic plates, and two large coloured folding maps to the rear.
Condition
In a red cloth binding. Externally, sound, though with some bumping, some marks, and some sunning to the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Front hinge is very tender. Pages are bright, and generally clean, though with some instances of foxing.
