The lectures were delivered in London and Oxford in April and May of 1885. Containing six lectures; 'The First Church and the Conversion of Paul', 'The Doctrinal Teaching of Paul', 'The Conflict of the Apostle to the Gentiles with Jewish Christians', 'The Reconciliation of Paulinism and Jewish Christianity', 'Paulinism and Gnosticism', 'Paulinism and the Church'. Pfleiderer was a German Protestant theologian who was known as one of the most influential people in liberal theology. Translated into English by J. Frederick Smith. With publisher's to the pastedowns and endpapers.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little marking to the boards. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with only the very occasional spot to the first and last few pages.
