First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

The first edition, second issue of this work. Issue points present; of 'with the saw' instead of 'with the was' to page 57, 11 lines up from the bottom, the erroneous page reference '88' is changed to '87' for 'Him and another Man' at page 13, and at page 9 the misprint 'decided' has been corrected to 'decides' for the chapter name for Chapter VI. 

This is the first U.S. edition, following the novel's publication in Canada and the U.K. in 1884.

'Huckleberry Finn' is considered to be one of the greatest American novels to ever be written. 

Illustrated with a frontispiece, additional portrait frontispiece, and in-text illustrations throughout.

By Mark Twain, the penname of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, one of the great fathers of American literature.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with some light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the spine and extremities, resulting in a small amount of loss of cloth. Front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few light spots and handling marks.
