What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Leather Binding, Uncommon

First edition in vellum binding of John Ruskin's publication of two lectures on environmentalism.

The Storm Cloud of the Nineteenth Century discusses the effects of industrialisation on weather patterns. His lectures use meteorological observations as evidence. This collection was one of his final writings and is credited with foreshadowing twentieth century concerns for the climate crisis.

John Ruskin was a Victorian philosopher, writer and art critic. He was a versatile writer, writing on varying topics including geology, literature, botany, and politics.
