A scarce early edition. In the publisher's original, full cloth pictorial binding with gilt detail. Illustrated with a frontispiece and three engraved plates. Collated complete. An interesting account by a cattle-herder of his experiences travelling between and working on ranches in the United States. Specifically, Kansas, Colorado, the Indian Territory and Northern Texas. WIth the publisher's advertisements to the rear of the book.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding with gilt detail. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the edges and spine. Spine is darkened and marks to the boards. Front hinge is trained but firm. Internally, binding strained towards the centre but still firm. Pages generally bright and clean with some light age-toning to the edges and a few scattered spots and handling marks. Spotting to the frontispiece. Publisher's blindstamp to the title page.
