A collection of narrative extracts from the life and military experiences of Sir George Thomas Napier, a British Army officer who saw service in the Peninsular War and commanded the army of the Cape Colony. Edited by his son, William Craig Emilius Napier, a British Army officer who became Governor of the Royal Military College in Sandhurst. Publisher's catalogue to the rear.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with a mark to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot.
