Robinson was part of the popularisation of the English cottage garden, this work being a key part of that movement.

Condition
In a full calf binding by Bickers. Externally, with a dampstain to the front board. Light rubbing to the spine, joints, and extremities, a little lighter rubbing and some marks to the boards. Minor bumping to the extremities. Small crack to the head of the front joint and to the tail of the rear joint. Spine is a little discoloured. Light tide mark to the fore edge. Front hinge is starting but firm, with a tape repair. Rear hinge is a little strained but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with scattered spots. Tape to the gutter between page 303 and the facing plate.
