A limited edition of this work, being one of three-hundred copies. A translation of a selection of classic Persian romance stories. Translated by Sir William Ouseley, a British orientalist. Edited by William Alexander Clouston, a Scottish folklorist.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A small amount of cockling to the boards. Light marks and rubbing to the boards and spine. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine. Two labels to the front pastedown, Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned with the odd light spot. The occasional pencil annotations to the margins.
