    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

    The first edition of this work.

    With a gift inscription to the recto of front endpaper, 'To Richard and Kate Dane, With love from Aunt Elizabeth Xmas 1884'. 

    Containing 25 steel engravings, collated complete.

    Accompanying the illustrations are poems and descriptive accounts of various parts of North America including Niagra, New York, Baltimore, Albany, and Utica. 

    A very bright copy of this charming work, in a lovely decorative binding that would suit any shelf.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, in a very smart condition. Light bumping to the head and tail of spine. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots to pages.
