In the original publisher's cloth binding with gilt to the edges. Externally sound with slight shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. With a vertical cracking to the front joint. A library stamp to the verso of the title page. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated throughout with various in text illustrations.
